Gelt Recipe

A delicious Hanukkah treat that’s sure to satisfy your sweet tooth!

    What You’ll Need

    • 18 large apricot halves
    • 1/2 cup of bittersweet chocolate crumbled into bits or chocolate chips

    Place chocolate bits or chocolate chips into a small microwave-safe dish. Melt on high for about 1 ½ to 2 minutes, stopping cooking every 30 seconds in order to stir. Don’t overcook the chocolate as it will burn. You could also melt the chocolate in a double boiler over very low heat until barely liquid, taking care not to overcook.

    Dip apricots into the chocolate, covering about half the apricot. Place dipped apricots onto a cookie sheet that is covered with wax paper. Place the sheet in a refrigerator until the chocolate hardens (approximately 20 minutes).

    Serves six.
