Tip-Toeing Through the Tulips
Spring has sprung – finally!
The air smells fresher, the trees have started to grow little buds and the grass is starting to seem greener no matter what side of the fence you are on. Yes, watching the earth come back to life after a long winter can really put the bounce back into your step. While you and your children probably can’t wait to get outside, make sure you go over some outdoor safety rules first before letting them participate in any outdooor spring activities for kids.
As you watch the trees and flowers bloom, it is hard not to be inspired by just how stunning the earth is. Help keep nature beautiful by taking part in some Earth Day festivals in your city this April 22nd. Get your kids involved so they too can gain a better appreciation of the environment and just how fragile it is. How about teaching your kids how to make home-made recycled paper? Homemade crafts are fun and recycled paper is environmentally friendly as well.
Arbor Day, is observed in many places on the last Friday of April, is yet another great reason to get your children interested in the environment. If your garden is looking a bit bare, hold a tree-planting party this Arbor Day. Invite over some neighbors with a homemade pop-up tree card invitation.
