honestly, i am having the same problems as yours. the only difference is that i have found a way of myself to solve it. i am buying shoes for my 14 months old girl which is actually 2 inches gap from the size of her feet. what i do is whenever she needs to wear it, i put her feet on thick socks so her feet won't slip out. it really helps! |

All of my son's shoes are always a size bigger. It's better that way, you won't have to keep on buying. I only bought a few pairs for my son, coz he doesn't really go out of the house that often. |

Wow - that's a good question. My 4 year old has gunboats for feet but that is a recent development. She grew 3 sizes in the 12 months from 3 to just now turning 4 (May)...she's in a toddler 12 which is about as big as it gets until you get into "Kids" sizes. Before that, it seemed she would grow about 1/2 a size to a full size every 9 months or so maybe. She's off the charts now so I am leary buying any shoes for her unless we are using them right now. Good thing I can sell her unused shoes I bought ahead of time on eBay! |

It varies so much. My daughter is 31 months and in a 6.5 now. She's been wearing the same shoes for forever. We got her a 7 for fall because I got a great deal on them. |

Maybe just base it on the past year. How many sizes did he change during that time? Our boy seems to wear 1 size for a whole year, or pretty close to it. We bought him a size 6 last spring and a size 7 this spring. Of course he may have a growth spurt one of these days, but he's never had one yet. Slow and steady. |

Shoes are something I have never been able to buy in advance for my daughter. She goes through hers in a couple months. She is 2.5 and is in almost a 9.5. The 9 would fit but she wouldn't be able to wear them long. If they are cheap enough go for it. |
