do you have study time with your kids? how many hours a day do you devote to "tutoring" your school age kids?

LovelyRuth - December 4th, 2010 3:32 AM

my kids are still young even though one is in kindergarten already. when he gets older i plan on helping him with homework and that the hour after dinner should be 'study time'. its good that they have a daily pattern to follow.

I always tell my oldest to do his homework after coming home from school. Then he gets rewarded with snacks and TV. If he needs help then he can ask it from us.

my kids are still young but if they need help then they can always get it from me.

At first I think I would "tutor" them so that they can get right into the habit of studying. Then I imagine that I would always be there if they needed help.

it is important to be there for them. it is also important that they get used to studying at an early age!

Felicity - December 9th, 2010 4:15 AM

yes I plan to do this. helping them develop a study habit is important so I really plan to "tutor" them!

no study time yet as they are still young but I plan to have study time with them when they are older.

yes we will have study time and I will definietly help them!

we did our homework in the kitchen while our mom made dinner. she would answer our questions while she cooked. Im thinking that I want this for my kids too.

i think studying with your kids is important. it keeps you abreast with schoolwork and it gets parents to spend time with kids!

LiSa - December 13th, 2010 2:51 AM

this is a good way to spend time with kids. i think it will tell them that they can count on me when they have problems.
