Being a parent or mothering takes all types, and what works for some may not work for others.
What type of mothering or parenting style do you employ?
Are you the disciplinarian?
Are you the type of tolerating your child when she or he make mistakes?

Me, I'm the type who talks to my kids. I don't yell at them. I seldom get mad, well, I do if its necessary to show them that mommy is upset.

What I believe is that everything will go smoothly if I talk to my kids, explain to them and make them understand.

I am not a control freak. From time to time I ask them what they want. If its ok I let them do it. When they go overboard I tell them it's not good.

So far so good for me.
