I'm watching my nephew for a year now while his parents is overseas working. I like being with him because we kinda have the same hobbies and he likes to read! I really don't have serious problems babysitting him but when it comes to negotiating with him to eat veggies, I lose!

Babysitting him is also a training for me! I'll be a mom soon!!!

how about letting him play while you feed him with vegies... so that he gets distracted and would not mind on what he's eating..

playing while is eating is also a strategy. i recommend to slice the veggies into tiny bits and mix it with soup so that they won't taste the veggies.

i lead by example. i eat vegetables together with my nieces and nephews. i also tell them the importance and benefits of eating veggies.

I think a lot of children, those 12 y.o. and below, may not have the "taste buds" for eating green leafy vegetables. This happens especially for kids growing up in highly urbanized or metropolitan areas. It is like city kids have been programmed only to like junk food, McDonalds and sodas. Feed them veggies and observe the reactions on their faces - it is like they ate something bitter.

i learned eating vegetables from my dad, i didnt like it until I was 16, the way he does it that when he eats it he eats it with excitement which made me wonder how it taste like, i did this wih my 4 year old kid and they always look at me when i eat this they try to mimic me and sometimes pretend they that they like it.
