is it true that cerebral palsy is a genetic disorder and that it can be hereditary?

as far as i know it is not a genetic disorder.

i think its a mixup with your chromosomes while you are conceived which leads to CP but it is not genetic and if i am not mistaken people with CP are usually barren.

there are lots of factors or causative agents of CP. They say an infection during pregnancy could be one. I'm not so sure though if it is hereditary. But as what I have heard even the "seem normal" kid at the age of two can still develop CP under special circumstances.

Maybe the kid had CP to begin with but was not diagnosed early?

Anyway the cause is sometimes brain development while pregnant. The brain just does not develop the correct way due to lack of oxygen.
