My baby, Sheena, will be 2 years old in a couple of weeks but still doesn't utter a single word. Even simple and common words she hears like "mama" or "papa". Every day we speak to her to encourage her to talk and for her to mimic words but I think it's not getting results.

I'm getting worried. There may be something wrong.

Were your kids at this age like this too? :(

Some kids develop speech ability late. There are hundreds or even thousands of babies like yours all around the world.

If you suspects something is wrong, you know better to take her to a specialist. Have her checked up the soonest.

IMO take your daughter to a doctor. Have her checked. Although I agree that a number of kids sometimes learn to talk late, it's best to be sure before it's too late. I myself learned to talked very late according to my dad. But I turned out to be ok.
