I worry about my 4-year old. I just feel that she's a little bit "slow". She can't catch up easily in school. We have to constantly review what they discussed in school for her to be able to absorb the information. Is there something we can do? I mean how do you know if there's proper brain development? Is it with food? or the milk? I'm close to desperate!

I had the same concern with my kid before, 1 thing I missed was his talent in music. We have to look at it as how challenging is school for him they are some who are academicaly challenge but is very good with the arts or sports.

Just keep your calm. Just be a little more patient with your daughter. I know it's hard but there's no other way. Continue to monitor her performance in school and slowly help her gain confidence in learning. You don't have to spoon-feed her all the time. Most importantly, instead of making her feel that "she is a slow learner", encourage he that she can do better.

try to also make her learning environment light and fun. It might also be that the reason why the child is "slow" is perhaps she is not really attentive in school. It could actually be a lot of things, but I believe that kids can learn better when they like what they are doing. Or basically enjoy what they are doing.

I couldn't agree more. I also believe that using very good learning materials can help. Use books with colorful pictures to catch their attention and make teaching same with story telling.
