I have been preparing my 4-year old for school and so i have been teaching her at home with the basic abcs and 123s for 3 weeks now... it seems that my kid has poor memory retention and so i have to review to her what we have discussed the prior week.. is there anyway that i can enhance her memory retention?

i think you need to be patient. not all kids develop the same as others. think about it, she's 4 and there are 26 letters in the alphabet plus the numbers... i think you are expecting a lot in a short span of time...

i think you should let the teacher assess her memory. they are the experts and they can give you solutions.

It might just be that your kid was not concentrating well enough or that she just needs a little bit more time. Sometimes we really have to extend our patience in teaching our kiddos.

give him time. i think you're expecting too much.
