how do you help your child conquer their fears?

depending on what type of fear... i don't remember the exact term for it but the thought js you will have to expose the person to that fear, little by little.. until he overcomes it.. main point is that you have to prove to that person or your kid that there is nothing to be afraid of...

i think its called flooding, its like saying one word over and over if you say it enough it wouldn't make sense.

they say that if you fall off a horse you should jump right back again. I think that if your kids fear something you should show them that there is nothing to fear.

Like if they're scared of sleeping without a night light then show them that it's ok by letting them see you sleep without one.

gently. kids have irrational fears sometimes and forcing them can just make the fear stronger. so do it gradually. in time these fears will go away especially as they grow older and learn to cope better.
