My boy is in the puberty stage and we notice that there is swelling around his nipples. Though he feels a little tenderness, he said it does not really bother him. Is that normal for children in puberty age? My son does not want to go to the doctor because he feels that it is just nothing coz as what he said, it does not bother him.

That condition is termed as gynecomastia and it normally occurs for some boys during puberty years but it also disappears in 6 months or so.

im not sure about this, but there are also teens and adults with this condition, i guess for their part it didnt disappear. it's really an inconvenience on their end andlowers down their self esteem.
