What I have noticed in preschool-aged children is that they ask too many questions. They will ask you a gazillion of questions and these questions can be anything under the sun. It is utterly annoying but be careful not reprimand them for asking questions since it is a part of the normal developmental process.

LOL! Annoying indeed. I remember I was like that myself. I asked my dad or mom any question that will come into mind. Sometimes my questions would make sense, sometimes it was rubbish. I asked of anything, of something I overheard or something I see around me. Many times I got a good scolding because of it. :P

that's right! it's really normal for them to ask question and when you give them an answer they formulate another question out of that answer. I remember my 4-year old cousin asked me one time while we were walking, "hey ashley, the moon follows us everywhere, why is that?"... and I'm like, "ummm... in time you'll understand"...LOL! I was caught completely off guard. I just didn't know how to explain it to her and I didn't want to give her a lie just to satisfy her question... so there.. :D

let the kids ask question, but stimulate their questions don't answer it flatly, just asks them when they ask you. It's one way how reasoning will improve.

i'd say it's like the peak of learning... as they become exposed to more people or maybe in school they become more and more curious about their environment. It is important to have more patience with them asking questions, because it is really going to be annoying at one point or another.

to add on cassie's post, if we set limitations and tell our kids to as the questions later so that you wont get annoyed then it will teach your kids to be patient and somehow formulate the answers to theirselves. A great way of learning i guess.

that is good way to see it quincy. I never thought of that. :)
This is the advantage of having an interactive forum.
