I am working abroad and I missed my baby so much. He was 1 year old when I left and it's been a year and a half and I long for him so so much...:( It will take 1 more year I think (hopefully!) before I can go home.

there are so means of communications nowadays and it is not impossible for us moms to talk and see our babies face-to-face like on video calls or chat. try to make a way that you can talk to him online or call him over the phone so he can hear your voice, see your face.

ohh, you will really miss him especially that you leave behind at a very early age. just be sure you will find a way to communicate with him so he will still know you when you come home.

I can relate to this and talking over the phone and voice/video chat is not enough at all but at least we were able to see each other. Although my daughter is a little older when I left and I also went home couple of times already for a vacation leave still I miss her so much.

yeah that is really hard on your part. you also have to keep yourself focus on your work because it is for his own future and don't worry because it will be all worth it.

It's one of the reasons why I don't want to work abroad because I don't think I can manage the feeling of being alone and I will surely miss my kids. I just can't risk it, I might go home not finishing the contract and it would mean a waste of money and time.

i can't even stand the longing even if i am just out of the house for a day to work how much more being really away for years. that would be not a good idea for me even if the pay is high.

dont you have internet and a webcam? I know this is poor substitute but whenever I travel I ask my husband to cam with me and our baby so that I wont miss them too much.
