HOW DO YOU CHOOSE A BABYSITTER? I AM WORKING AND MY MOTHER CAN'T ANYMORE HANDLE BABYSITTING SO I NEED TO FIND A BABYSITTER FOR THE DAY. I JUST DON'T HAVE ANY IDEA ON CHOOSING ONE. PLEASE GIVE SOME TIPS.

For me, might as well hire somebody you already know or your relatives already have tried. It is difficult to trust your baby with someone you still don't know the background.

yeah try to ask some of your relatives or friends for recommendation. me and my husband never hire a babysitter. i take care of our kids hands on because i am just a stay at home mom. for working moms, it is of course practical to hire one.

It is a hard decision to make, even the decision of having a babysitter or not is hard how much more choosing one. I am really against hiring a babysitter because for me our bonding with our children is very crucial at the early years. It is when they develop trust and dependence, so it is really necessary to take care of them personally.

you should know the babysitter's family background. she should be someone that a friend or relative of yours referred to.

someone i've known right from the start. someone with good background and i need also to look at her records from the past employers. i should also have to ask clearances like from the police if she doesn't have any criminal records or whatsoever.

You can have a babysitter to help you out but not totally the only one taking care of your baby. You should still do the hands on. It is for your baby's and your own good.

have you tried looking in agencies? actually it is better than just posting over classified ads looking for random babysitters. in agencies, you can choose whoever you want and see their background records. if you have any complains, you can also report it directly to the agency.

i myself is so afraid of finding a babysitter. i don't trust finding one nowadays. but we can't just avoid the times that we can't find anyone to take care of our babies so it is better that you should thoroughly examine the person if you can really trust her or not.

IT IS REALLY HARD DECIDING AND I AM A LITTLE SCARED NOW BECAUSE I MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO FOCUS ON WORK. I AM NOW TRYING TO FIND A RELATIVE MAYBE WHOM I CAN TRUST AND STILL WOULD PAY HER FOR BABYSITTING.
