They say the pre-schooler stage is when the child is curious about his/her sorrounding... true enough, my 4-year old boy loves climbing - A LOT! name it! stairs, cabinets, trees, etc... as long as he has something to grip on. More than wanting him to explore the world and learn, I worry about a fall and broken limb.

just be around whenever he starts to climb. let him explore but make sure that you're always there to catch him when he falls. boys will be boys.

LOL... my kids also went through the climbing stage. I always held them or watched over them whenever they wanted to climb. It's just a passing phase so dont worry.
