start early! i bought a potty trainer lid that can be attached to a normal toilet and take my baby to "practice" since he was a year old. By 2 he would take off his diaper every morning to poop on the toilet. |

I was lucky with my boy as he found it disgusting to defecate/urinate in his diaper early on. So he would tell me "potty" whenever he needed to go. He was around 2 and a half that time. |

some kids are scared to go on a real potty so getting them acquainted with the toilet at an early age might be a good thing. |

I take them to the potty every morning after removing their diapers. Then I either let them urinate or poop. If nothing comes out then OK. But I always make a big fuss when something does! |

best advise I can give is to start early by introducing them to the potty at an early age. They will get used to it in time and not be afraid to go. |

I did not have a great time potty training my oldest. he likes going to his small one but not the real deal. when he turned four there was no mini potty in the school so he was forced to go in the real one. i guess you just really need patience. |

Thanks for the time guys! These are fantastic tips that I have to try. My son is not fond of the toilet yet but seeing his older brother go is making him interested! |

we make a big deal every time they go to the potty! we clap, hug, kiss and have a small celebration. it gives them incentive! |

introduce them to the potty early. make sure that your potty is always clean so that the kids like going. make your bathroom a fun place too by painting it with bright colors and making it kid safe! |

how about buying those colorful toilet seats! we have one that looks like a lifesaver and my boy loves it! |

they pretty much said it. i just wanted to add to not forget to keep clorox wipes for the toilet seat incase they "missed". :) |
