this question has been running off of my mind, does she moves and plays a lot or is she the type who doesn't get any tired all day long? because some toddlers really burn energy fast and their metabolism are of fast burning pace too. maybe because your daughter is moving around too much that she can't gain weight due to the energy she excess every now and then. try to give her some vitamins too, children really needs supplements especially at their growing and developing years. |

toddlers are more perky and hyperactive so maybe that's the reason why she's not gaining weight recently. we parents should try to monitor our kids more closely especially in their toddler years where they are very active exploring what they see around them. |

She should be gaining weight in four months. Overall the actual number is less important than if she is gaining on an appropriate curve. Check out wholefoods. They have an alternative to pediasure. Also ask the doctor to find out why she is not gaining. It could be malabsorbtion due to food intolerances. |

I think let her be. My son was like that but he still is. He is 3 years old and he only weighs 31.0 pounds. He is suppose to weigh more then that. He is a boy. He is so light when I pick him up. She will start putting on pounds just give her time. |

At this age it is totally normal. My 21 month old only weighs 20lbs 10oz. She hasn't gained any weight in forever. She still nurses 8-10 times a day, eats as much as my 5 year old, but still not even a pound gained. The Peds are not concerned since she does eat well. She is just meant to be lean like the rest of my kids. |

If your doctor is recommending pediasure, it means they are concerned about the lack of weight gain. You need to do something, and frankly pediasure isn't UNhealthy, and if your toddler won't eat, you need should follow his advice. |
