jemiah, my baby girl is 20 months and im just wondeing how to make her actually sit on the naughty spot for the one minute she is spose to be on it for.. cos at the moment we put her in her rom and she comes out on her own once she has calmed down/stop crying... but how do you get hem to stay on the spot for the whole time?

Yep persistance. We did it by taking him back to his spot over and over until he stayed put for the full 2 minutes then we told him he could come and play.

my child actually surprised me. From the very first time I put him on the naughty chair, he never moved until I told him he could. I guess it was because he knew what it was because his FDC lady uses it (although I'm told he's never been put there at FDC, just seen other kids get sent there).

I would also suggest putting his back there until he has been sitting there for the full amount of time.

my girl's Naughty spot is at the end of the hallway with all th doors closed so its dark and boring. I stand at the other end with my back to her. she cant get past me and if she trys i send her back down the other end and make her face the corner. eventually she gets the idea she has to sit quietly until i tell her she can play again.
