Its my own fault for introducing tastey snacks to my son lol but now all he wants are like tortilla chips, cheese its/goldfish. He will drink his milk and eat bannanas and string cheese that is the extent of his "healthy" foods. He will eat spegetti with tomato sause also. How do you get your toddler to eat veggies?

I sometimes blend the food with vegetables and it works for my child. It is easier for her to eat it because it's finer more like drinking it.

make fun ways of preparing healthy veggies and fruits. you can make him cheese cakes and baked macaroni or if he likes spaghetti, put some twist like making it as veggie spaghetti. fresh fruit juices are delicious as an alternate for milk and other powdered drinks.

it's a problem you actually started first, hehe. but do not worry, just try to introduce your son to those healthy foods by and by. try to eat those healthy foods with him so he wouldn't think you just tricked him.

I serve my son healthy meals, and if he doesn't eat them, he doesn't get snacks. I'm a little loose on breakfast, but lunch and dinner are things we eat together, and if he doesn't eat, they go in the fridge until he says he's hungry. Then they come back out.

No cookies, no sweets, nothing like that until the veggies have been eaten.

If it's something new, he has to try 2 bites. If he doesn't like a new veggie, we always have a 2nd one that he does have to eat. Last night we had chard, red bell pepper and mashed potatoes. He didn't like the chard, but he had to eat the potatoes and red pepper and try the chard. He also had to finish his chicken sausage that was with it. Then, and only then, could he have a few animal crackers as a snack.

My son is pretty good with eating veggies and will only eat oranges and bananas for fruit - if he is refusing to eat his veggies, I hide them in the food he wants. Like Mac N Cheese is his FAVORITE!! I hide peas or green beans in it, like I will put a bite of both on the fork and he doesn't even realize he is eating it.

I think if you only offer healthy choices, he can only make healthy choices. Lead by example and keep the junk food out of the house.

What works for me is pre-measuring her foods ahead of time. That way, I always have a serving of fruit, veggies or grains on hand if she gets hungry. If she decides she doesn't want what I offered for lunch, no biggie, I have other stuff ready to offer. If she decides she doesn't want that either, okay, she probably isn't hungry right now. There are times when she'll go for days eating nothing but strawberries and grapes and others when I can't seem to feed her enough pasta.

I'm blessed that my son loves, rice, mashed potato and pasta. I started feeding him veggies at an earlier age. I introduced the veggies to him little by little through mixing it with his rice (mashed veggies like, squash, potato, carrots...etc) he just got used to it. When I introduced tasty snacks, he loved it and have tried to refuse eating the healthy foods, but I just told him, that he won't be able to play outside or get a tasty snack if he doesn't eat his healthy food, if he throws a fit, I still insist on him eating his food until he gives in... worked for me.

I just feed my toddler tasty healthy foods. There are a lot of ways to do that. I started off with a tasty soup, I mixed a scrambled egg, corn and thinly sliced carrots. My son loved it. mixing veggies to other tasty food really gets him to eat it. Sometimes I use tuna to mix with spaghetti and he doesn't even notice.

i think the best way to get a toddler eat healthy foods is to mixed up your daily menu like for breakfast a scramble egg with vegetables on it..
