Do you give you toddler a flu shot every year? My daughter has gotten one every year and I am just wondering if it is worth it. I got my first flu shot ever last year and I was sicker than a dog for about a month after wards and then the rest of the winter. I am normally never sick, except for last year.
My daughter has no underlying health conditions so does she really need one?

My kids get the flu shot each year. I think they highly recommend them for children under 6. I have gotten them the years that I've been pregnant or had an infant in the house. None of us have ever had any type of reaction.

My son will be getting the flu shot, just like last year. I have never gotten one, and don't plan to, but with all of his respiratory issues already the flu shot is just another way to help prevent him from getting any sicker then he already does.....I didn't ever plan on getting him one, but when his doctor told me she would if it was her own child, then I decided I should.

Yes, every year. My sone is scheduled for next week at his Pedia and I am going to go to Walgreens because they have preservative free vaccines. My husband works at a hospital so he gets his at work for free every year.

I got everyone a flu shot. Ultimately it only protects against H1N1 this year and two other strains, so you can still catch the flu even with the shot. I have a weakened immune system so I get one every year. I would rather my kids get the shot than actually catch the flu and getting really sick.

I would say that it is more necessary for the kids in daycare or school. I got my 9 month old the shot since his big sister just started school and I know she will be bringing it home at one point.
