My son is 3 and is a picky eater. All he will eat are waffles, pancakes, chicken nuggets, hamburger, and peanut butter sandwiches. Nothing else. He has been this way for a while and I was hoping it was a stage he would grow out of. Im very concerned about his diet affecting his health. He is healthy now, just little, 36 inches tall and 30 lbs.

Ive tried bribing him and punishing him into trying different foods. I even forced a piece of macaroni and cheese into his mouth ( I know this isnt the right way but Im completely at my wits end) and he just spits it out. He wont even try a new food and I dont know what to do. Can anyone help?

normally, kids are really picky. they only eat what they want and choose the foods that seems appetizing for them. do not force him what to eat, but encourage him by putting a little touch of everything. you may bribe him simply by telling him to eat healthy diet you prepared in exchange of giving his favorite snack! :)

that is one of the mother's major problems raising up their kids, it's really a big challenge to them.

i have the same problem with my son lucas when he was 2 to 3 years old but with my daughter isabel i did not encounter such problem. is there something to do with the gander also?

It is hard when they are so young to rationalize why they should eat some things. My son does not eat meat, fruit, cheese, or most vegetables. He has issues with texture of foods. He eats mostly carbs and Almond milk. My doctor just suggests we continue to make new foods available to him and see if he wants to try them. We also make sure he takes his multivitamin every day. He is a healthy weight and size and the doctor is not worried. We have our dinner and I make him what he will eat and offer some of what we have. If they are healthy and getting their vitamins don't put so much pressure on trying new stuff, but offer it. You never know when the day will come that a new food will be tried!!

dealing kids when it comes to food are really a big challenge for us moms. try to feed him while he is watching his favorite tv show so he won't noticed he's eating much of the food he doesn't like rather than bugging you with his all time fave junks.
