my eldest girl will be starting to go to school next year and we can't decide the school or the kind of school that is best for her. there are schools that focuses on the child's physical abilities and they don't have books and noted while others have the normal books and notes, like the old way of studying.

I would suggest the normal and old way of handling school activities. I am not comfortable with having no books at all. It will be difficult to monitor our children's progress in school.

i would also go with the ordinary way of studying. it is tested through time and very effective.

hmmm... Books books books! those are very important to a childs development. either books from school or at home, it's a very effecient way to keep our kids learning. I'd say go with that old way of studying.

you all got a point here but i was thinking of being in a new world, new technology and i think there is nothing wrong with having no books. we have to cope with the changing world in order to level up.

there is nothing more effective than the traditional school procedure. i've been teaching for 10 years now and i agree and open with the new technology but the issue on having no textbooks is not acceptable to me. it is really important to still have those materials for school.

best to see he curriculum offered and the schools background and reputation from those who already had the experience on that particular school.

you can ask your friends who have kids that are already at school. ask some personal opinions and feedback about the school that their children are studying. you can also ask leaflets with different schools and compare what is in store for your child.

hanZELline - November 8th, 2010 10:48 PM

You can just let your kid decide where she is comfortable studying. Sometimes we need to hear it from them because after all it is them who will be studying in the school and not us.

SweetLilies - November 10th, 2010 10:26 AM

You have a point hanZELline but don't you think they are too young to be able to decide which is a good school for them. You will know by the feedback of other parents and the kind of students that the school produced if they are really having a good and quality education.

just the normal school way where it helps not only on learning but also social interactions
