Cough sometimea accompanied with colds is very common not juat to kids but even to us parents. What i really want to clarify is that is cough a symptom for another disease? or is it a disease in itself?

a cough is caused by a viral infection.

however to clarify whether it is just a cough or something else like Whooping cough or Asthma then you will need to visit a doctor for this.

ummm.. it's one of our body's way of expelling "unwanted" matter out... and it could also be an indication of something else...
