being full time mom and housewife is no joke! I'm planning for a weekend getaway with my 3-year old daughter and my husband. Any suggestions of a good getaway treat for my whole family? I want something that my husband and I can enjoy as well as my lovely daughter... thanks!!!

well that would entirely depend on how you would want it. Do you want it grand like maybe a trip to somewhere beautiful? or maybe as simple as a picnic? :)

a day at the beach is the most relaxing way for me and my family... there's something about the sand and the beach and the sun and the sea breeze that's really really relaxing. :)

for me, anything could work. a simple lunch or dinner out can already do the trick. what is really important is that you spend quality time with your loved ones.

I agree with laura... maybe you can take your husband and kid to a nice lunch and after, you can leave your baby to your babysitter and you and your husband can get a good massage or something. It's nice to pamper yourself once in a while.

Definitely! we, housewives also deserve a good self-pampering treat. It's not easy to be a full time mom and wife. You can reserve even just one day out of the 30 calendar days for yourself and just yourself. SPLURGE! as i call it.. LOL!

i couldn't agree more, brenda. Sometimes we forget about ourselves and we focus more on our children. It can also be pretty stressful that way. I think all moms deserve a pat on the back and good "moms-day-out" treat.

What is the budget for the vacation? Once that is established, the destination can be built from around that figure. Try to look up on travel agency package tours for the family. They have several offerings from cheap to expensive. Pick the one that fits the budget.

How about Disneyland? I am sure your daughter will love the place. She might be only 3 years old but I'm sure she'll still enjoy it despite of her age. She'll be thrilled with the kiddie rides and the mascots.
