Being a parent requires extraordinary and unlimited patience. For most of us, being a parent is the best job in the world!

How do you manage to control your anger?

try distracting yourself from your anger. Distraction comes in many forms and differs for every parent. For some people, simple tasks, such as reciting the days of the week or counting to 10, are distracting enough to allow anger to diffuse. The website also recommends such activities as checking out the weather forecast, reciting a daily prayer or looking up jokes online.

According to MayoClinic.com, poor health and stress are closely related. It recommends any form of exercise as a natural stress reliever, no matter how athletic or nonathletic you consider yourself to be. Not only does it boost your endorphins, your body's "feel-good chemical"; exercise also serves as a distraction from whatever is causing you stress in the first place.

when I feel the anger and stress beginning to build, i take some time out to rest. I get a little one down for a nap, and take that time to rest myself. I allow my child to sleep in on Saturday, and I do the same.

Its nice to be patient specially to us Moms. we shouldn't be angry all the time, lets have limitations so our kids wont be afraid to us. thats what i always do when my son did something wrong i just take a deep breath for me to release my anger. in fact my son helps me control my temper by making me smile, hug me and kiss me. :)

how do you control your anger?

it's very interesting to note that being a mother requires no degree yet we produce all the successful men in the world...does this mean that having a masteral or doctorate degree ain't really that important?

well, i apologize for my out of topic reply. i just realized lately that being a mom is the most difficult and most challenging task in the world.

Anger is a natural emotion. It's nature's way of telling us that something in our lives has gone haywire. Anger occurs as a defensive response to a perceived attack or threat to our well-being. In addition to psychological changes, like any emotion, anger is accompanied by physiological changes. When you get angry your adrenaline flows, your heart rate increases, and your blood pressure escalates. The phrase, "I'm so mad my blood is boiling" isn't that far from true when you fly into a rage! so better to manage your anger just to avoid high blood pressure. :)

Anger is not easy to control. it does involve different emotions and its hard to balance your thoughts when your caught off guard by it.

GeorgetteK - February 18th, 2011 1:01 PM

i get pissed for a 'good reason'.

BettyBop_20 - February 19th, 2011 11:14 AM

i usually breath in and breath out and clear those bad thoughts on my mind and speak softly as i can. so that my child would not be scared.
