oftentimes we miss out basic and simple rules that are vital, an example of which is reading a label. If your child has peanut allergies, ALWAYS and ALWAYS read the label every time you make a purchase even if it has been safe before... manufacturer's change their ingredients, so you'll never know. It is also important that when you have lunch or dinner out make the person preparing the food be aware of the allergy.

I totally agree! there was one time when we had a hard time figuring out why my younger brother had an allergy attack when the food we prepared was the same thing that we prepared before. Later on my mom found out that one of the ingredients she used in cooking had peanut in it. Good thing it didn't cause any serious damage to my brother.

i was told that letting a person take one spoon-full of sugar during an allergy attack helps. i don't know if that's true though.
