interactive learning... it's becoming to be a mainstream in school system, idea is to learn while exploring or studying. I guess will be the same for kids. It's like telling them what they can apply in life what they are studying in school. |

Good point, HeavenSent. |

you can always set time for school and time for play. Don't lengthen the study period so your kid won't get bored. Just focus on areas that your kid is having a little difficulty, then you can just have quick reviews on the ones that he is already good at. |

Be consistent but not persistent. |

thats one way of saying it, consistent vs. persistent. Im learning a lot today, i uess this is one example of interactive learning... |

constant follow up with your kid's activities in school is good but make sure that you don't do the work for him/her just so he/she can get good grades..your kid is never gonna learn that way. |

When my kids come home from school I let them rest for a while. Once they're rested, if they have homework I let them do it first. When there is no homework, I have them recap what they learned in school by reading their books. Once they're done with homework or reading, they can play. I give them treats during supper from time to time for doing homework or reading their books. |
