Commonly babies can speak simple words before they reach 1 year old. you'll know your doing it wrong if you kid is 2 years old and still talks gibberish. |

In most cases they learn talking at the age of 1, but there are also some who learns how to talk after that age. Each child is still unique and they learn at their own pace. |

Each developmental pattern is the same to all of us. Like learning how to crawl before we walk, to coo before talking, to sit before standing and so on and so forth. But as to WHEN these changes happen, it varies form one kid to another. |

Gibberish or baby talk is fine once in a while. However if you do it constantly yes, I would agree, the kid will be talking gibberish too. If done constantly, it might add up to the baby learning how to talk late. |

Doing baby talk is more like playing with your kids or those you can consider as sweet nothings.. but when you are trying to give instructions or perhaps do something that is routine, it's always best to use the correct words. Example? it's not good to trade "food" with "yumyum" or perhaps "taking a bath" with "bah-bath"... things like that. |
