Well it's kind of broad. There are really some people whom we can consider as introvert, in other words they tend to isolate themselves from others. There are also those who really want to mingle with other people, but they are just too shy. It may be because they don't have enough self-confidence. Affirmation may help. |

Appreciate your child more. Make them feel good about themselves to boost their self-confidence. Sometimes kids even adults are afraid or too shy to make new friends for th fear of being rejected. |

i'd have to agree with laurie and karen. you just really to experiment a little more to know if your kid can be considered as an introvert or if the kid is just naturally shy. you can also talk to him/her about having friends and the benefits of having friends... |

Constant exposure to other people especially the child's age group would help him/her develop his/her social skills. |

The child just needs to be comfortable being around other kids, once they feel comfortable everything else will just follow. They'll learn how to mingle well with others. |
