At what age is it safe to apply lotion and powder on baby's skin? I am not really comfortable not putting lotion and powder on my baby. I want to know if it's safe, I will use a very mild formula, so what do you think?

maybe after the first trimester you can apply a hypo-allergenic lotion and powder. you just be careful because some babies have very sensitive skin. i think i know how you feel because i am so vain also when it comes to my skin and much more to my baby's skin. i don't feel comfortable not applying lotion on him.

might as well not apply anything on baby's skin so as not make it dependent on it. natural skin and only bathed with very mild soap is still the safest.

Yes, applying nothing is still safe but I don't like my baby to have dry skin. At least a mild baby lotion will do for me.

i asked my baby's pedia once about putting powder to my baby and he told me how delicate a baby's skin is that putting powder is not really advisable aside from putting ample amount on the baby's private parts before and after changing diapers.

Yeah, powder would sometimes not only harm the skin but also the respiratory organ, like possible asthma for the baby... God forbids...

i never apply anything to my baby's skin. i think it is better like that than experimenting which is safe or not because a baby's skin is really delicate and those materials have chemicals that might not be good for the skin.
