i used to give them some ice. a teether will do but i let them gnaw on a piece of ice wrapped inside a cloth diaper. the coldness will ease the throbbing of the gum. but i only do this when i am watching them.

There was a cream that i used before. You can try to check with your doctor for the name. You just apply it your baby's gums.. it acts like an anesthetic.. it also has a numbing effect..

I was told that honey is good for inflammation but since its the tooth im not so sure.
