Hi... I was hoping I could get a little more information about shaken baby syndrome. How can one prevent that from happening?.... What is shaken baby syndrome anyway???

...to be very technical, shaken baby syndrome is a severe form of head injury that occurs when a baby is shaken forcibly enough to cause the baby's brain to rebound (bounce) against his or her skull. This rebounding may cause bruising, swelling, and bleeding of the brain, which may lead to permanent, severe brain damage or death.

avoid shaking your baby too much. when our kids start to cry a lot we tend to rock them in the hopes that they get pacified and to make them fall asleep, but sometimes the "rocking" does not help and we tend to shake them a little too much.
