what can you say about new born baby screening? does anyone of you experienced about not having your baby screened right after he/she was born and find out serious illness at later point of time? what can you advice to the moms out there who have been ignoring newborn screening tests? do you think that this should have done not by personal choice but should be done 2-3 days after a mom gave birth?

i had my baby screened after 3 days i gave birth. it was actually a personal choice then but was an advice given to me by my doctor in which i believe is of course an action needed to identify early disorder that may develop to my baby.

it's an important step to screened possible diseases that should have been avoided at an early stage. it really helps especially if you don't want your child to suffer from any form of diseases and/or disorders.

i think that the doctors should strongly advice mothers with this kind of test to their babies and not by giving them the choice to do so. why would you ever put your baby at risk, right? i guess no stupid mothers would want to see their babies in pain or agony.

i think this is the best way to help prevent future illnesses with your child's health. mothers should always keep in mind that "prevention is always better than cure."

i totally agree with you moms out there. my husband and i were so particular about our child's health and we did send our baby for a newborn screening test after two days. we found out that our baby has sepsis and it is something that we should be thankful that we can treat this kind of illness which is a severe one.

you should and must have your child take the newborn screening test to know potential and harmful fatal disorders that should be otherwise apparent at birth.

not only possible present harmful and fatal disorders but also the chance that there might be some metabolic and inherited disorders that may hinder the baby's normal mental and physical development through variety of ways.

even with a simple blood tests made by doctors to your baby can help them identify if there are certain conditions present that will eventually cause problems.

our babies need it as soon as they're brought here on earth. we could say it's a bit expensive but let's just think of the positive sides.
