So when my daughter was born i just Breast Feed up until she was a month and i started supplementing by pumping and every now n then formula, she went through a phase where it was a battle to nurse and sometimes she wouldn't even eat and fall asleep from screaming. It has now been a week since i have given her any formula or bottle, so i was just wondering how often and how long should she eat. i never got to BF with my first i just pumped because she was born so early n she would never latch on. so this is all new to me.

Hi, I am also new to bf because I am a first time mom. With my baby I feed her every 1 to hours through breastfeeding and it will take around 30 mins for her to get full and fall asleep.

some babies are satisfied from gaps of after 5 minutes on each breast and some may need to have at least 10 to 15 minutes each side and will take gaps to eat again after 2 hours for a month old baby. but the pattern is not clear for newborn babies and it will only take place when they are about 4-6 months old.

I am also new with breastfeeding. What I have been doing up til now is let my baby drink all the milk he wants until he falls asleep while laching. I've never really measured how much he can finish, but I think when your baby stops latching that would mean he or she is full.

I know that there usually is a specific number of ounce your baby should get. But while you are breast feeding your littleone, you can tell exactly how much your baby is drinking. As for me, I also just wait for my little to be finished.

Breast Feeding usually takes about 15 to 30 minutes for me, sometimes longer. It really depends how much your baby wants. I usually stop BF when my little one falls asleep. they

When I was breastfeeding my little one, he usually feeds every 3-4 hours and I wake him up when it has been 4 hours and he's still not awake.

I am happy that I am getting used to bf now. I also feed her with formula milk and still continue breastfeeding. The first week was the hardest but I did not know it was this fast to adjust to it.
