Hello, I just gave birth to a baby girl last month. It was a normal delivery, thank God! I never realize how hard it is to take care of a new born until now. She is now going 2 weeks old and we are so blessed to have her. I just want to hear some experiences with other first time mothers. Is it really this hard or is it just me?

Congratulations! Those are normal for first time moms and even during the second, third and so on babies because taking care of a new born requires 24/7 attention. Just don't feel depress and take some rest when you can.

we all experience such thing Kat20. it is really difficult taking care of a new born. most of the time they sleep during the day and are awake at night.

hard in a sense that you will be experiencing sleep deprivation, stressful days and specially at night, but constantly you will really get used to it. having hard days and sleepless nights will be filled up with happiness once you see your baby smiling at you. motherhood is hard though but amidst of all hardship, is the feeling of fulfillment and self-satisfying urge that you have achieved the womanhood in you. :)

being a first time mom means you will be experiencing a mixed emotions like excitement, stress, happy, frustrations and all that. but don't worry it's normal and it is actually fun! just don't take it too much seriously so you won't get stressed a lot. enjoy motherhood and bring the fun around the house while taking care of your child.

I see. I felt lighter knowing that what I'm encountering now is normal. I even cried a lot because of being tired and lack of sleep. I think I am over reacting..:(

so happy for you, congratulations for a successful delivery. just be sure you are well-prepared of everything else in being a mom. your baby needs to be taken care of her health as she grows up.

I am a little adjusted now with the situation and the only thing that worries me is when I go back to work. We are planning of hiring a babysitter but still can't find one. My sister in laws are also here to help us and they are really very supportive.

That's great Kat20 at least they are there to help you babysit your baby. It is also good that you are in good terms with them. Good luck going back to work..:)
