Mother’s Day Recipes: Classic Crepes

A classic and elegant feature at any brunch, crepes make the perfect Mother’s Day brunch idea.

 

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

1. Lightly oil a frying pan or griddle. While it is heating over medium high heat, whisk the flour and eggs together in a large bowl.

2. Slowly add the milk and water, stirring to mix.

3. Finally, add the salt and butter, beating until mixture is smooth.

4. Pour about ¼ cup of the batter into pan for each crepe. To make sure the entire pan is evenly coated, tilt the pan in a circular motion.

5. Cook each side for about 2 minutes or until bottom is light brown. Serve immediately with maple syrup, icing sugar, fresh berries, apple, cheese, jam, ham or anything else you would like.
