Back to School Recipes: Shake 'n Serve Salad

Even the pickiest eaters will love eating veggies after trying this scrumptious salad. Loaded with carrots and tomatoes, this healthy recipe for kids makes the perfect school lunch both as a side dish and on its own.

What You'll Need

2 cups of mixed salad greens
6 baby carrots
6 cherry tomatoes
3 slices of honey smoked turkey breast, cut into strips
1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablesppons of low-fat ranch dressing
1/4 cup of corn chips


Place salad greens, carrots, tomatoes, turkey breast and cheese into a large resealable plastic bag or container.

Place corn chips and dressing into separate small resealable plastic bags.

Just prior to serving, squeeze dressing onto salad. Seal and shake lightly to mix ingredients. Top with corn chips.

Tip: Pair with a serving of fruit and milk or unsweetened fruit juice.
