Back to School Crafts for Kids: Bookmarks

Perfect for your little bookworm, these fun bookmarks are a classic back to school craft that even young children can help to make.

What You'll Need

construction paper or poster board
scissors or pinking shears

Optional Materials
tassel, ribbon or braided material
stickers
rumber stamps and ink pad
markers or colored pencils
glitter
clear, self-adhesive paper

Instructions

For each bookmark, start with a piece of construction paper or poster board that is 6 inches long and 1 to 2 inches wide. If you prefer to make wavy or jagged edges, cut using pinking shears.

You can use clear, self-adhesive paper to create a glossy finish.

Additionally, you may also punch a hole in the top of the bookmark and then tie on a tassel, ribbon or colorful braid.

You may also decorate with glitter, stamps and stickers in order to create different types of bookmarks.
