Back to School Crafts for Kids: Backpack Tags
A simple, creative back to school craft for kids that's just right for ages 6 and up.
What You'll Need
rinkable plastic
key rings or lanyard hooks
clear jewelry cord
scissors
hole punch
water-based markers
acrylic sealer spray, matte finish
cookie sheet
brown paper grocery bag or a few brown lunch bags
rubber stamps (optional)
Instructions
Cut out the designs. Next, use your hole punch in order to create a hole at the end of the "tag".
Remember, the plastic shrinks to about a third of its size, so you'll need to make the hole three times larger than what you think you'll need. This way it will still be large enough once shrinking has occurred. Also, remember that any lettering you include will also shrink, so make letters large enough to allow for shrinking.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for baking your designs.
Spray with acrylic sealer spray. Let dry.
Tie a piece of clear jewelry cord through the hole before adding a lanyard hook or key ring to close it off.
