Valentine's Day Decoratins: Valentine's Day Napkin Rings

This easy Valentine's Day decoration can be adapted for either paper or cloth towels and is a simple way to dress up your dinner table for either a family dinner or a romantic Valentine's Day dinner for two.

What You Need

  • red felt
  • bright pink felt
  • tulip glitter paint (optional)
  • scissors
  • ruler (optional)

Instructions

Cut a rectangle of red felt that is 1 3/4 x 10" long.

Cut the ends of the rectangle so as to create half of a heart shape.

If desired, add glitter paint to the side of each of the heart ends. Allow to dry completely.

Cut one heart out of red felt (it should be 2 3/4 x 3 1/2" in size).

Cut one heart out of bright pink felt (it should be 2 1/4 x 3 1/8" in size).

Apply glitter paint (optional) along the sides as shown in the picture. Let dry.

Make a slit of about 1 1/4" long into each heart, cutting vertically.

Insert one end of the napkin ring through both hearts (you can place either the red or pink heart at the bottom, depending on your preference).

Insert the other end of the napkin ring through both pieces.

Place your napkin through the napkin ring and set at the table for a festive look.
