Kwanzaa Candle Holders
These cute candle holders are perfect as a centerpiece or when placed on a mantle.
What You’ll Need
:- 1 yard of kente cloth
- Liquid starch
- 7 large baby food jars
- 3 red candles, 3 green candles and 1 black candle
- Scissors
- Wax paper
Cut 7 14" circles of fabric. Pour liquid starch into bowl; submerge fabric circles in starch until the fabric is completely saturated.
Squeeze out excess liquid from fabric circles. Smooth fabric face down over wax paper. Center baby food jar on fabric; pull fabric ends up and tuck into the top of the jar. Adjust pleats as needed. Repeat the process for the rest of jars.
Let dry over night, turning upside down halfway through drying time. Secure candles by placing melted wax at the bottom of each jar.
