Beer Battered Burgers
These burgers are perfect for the grill and easy to prepare. This recipe serves four.
- 1½ lb ground beef
- ¼ cup steak sauce
- ¼ cup beer
- Sliced onion
- Hamburger buns or large bread rolls
- Sliced cheese (optional)
1. Combine the beer and steak sauce in a microwavable bowl and heat on high for 1 to 1½ minutes. Set aside.
2. With clean hands, shape the ground beef in patties about ¾-inch thick.
3. BBQ the patties uncovered, turn occasionally, for 13 to 15 minutes or until cooked to your preference (rare, medium, well done).
4. Give patties a minute or two to cool before liberally brushing them with the sauce.
5. Top burgers with cheese, onions or whatever other toppings you prefer. For extra flavor, consider barbecuing the onions alongside the burgers.
