Chicks Dig It

What would Easter be without some chicks peeping around your home? Add some seasonal cheer to your house with these cute, fluffy chicks.

For this project, you will need these craft supplies:

  • 2 cotton balls per chick
  • Scissors
  • Black and orange construction paper
  • Glue
  • Yellow tempera paint, dry
  • Plastic baggie
  • 1 clean egg shell, empty, per chick
  • Hole punch

1. In the plastic baggie, mix your cotton balls with your tempera paint until the cotton balls are yellow. Small children will really enjoy shaking the bag all around the room.

2. Once your cotton balls are good and yellow, take them out of the bag and glue them together to form your chick’s body.

3. Next, cut out your chick's beak and feet from the construction paper and glue them onto the cotton ball body. For easy-to-make eyes, use a hole punch on the black construction paper.

4. Finally, once your chick is all assembled, glue her into your egg shell!
