i am worried because i think my baby is behind the normal skills that an average toddler have. i can't help comparing him to other babies because my parents would complain why he is not learning to walk yet and it is a pressure on my part.

toddlers would differ accordingly and it's normal why others develop faster than the other one. just teach him and don't lose any patience to keep on trying. help him out by nurturing him the attention he needs.

my children differs in their progress in developing their skills. you should not be pressured by it because each child is unique and they should be given a freewill to develop their skills without any pressure.

i admit to putting so much pressure on my child to learn fast in order to level other children. it is really hard seeing him left behind but i will try my best to help him get through.

As parents we always want the best for our children and want them to be the best among others even at an early age. We brag to other people the talents and abilities that our children have without even knowing if they enjoyed it or are just pressured by our expectations. We should try to see right through them at times.

Yes that is right marianne. Try to check the toddler developmental milestones chart so that you can see if your child is really behind the normal development.

if the situation is really hard to handle ourselves then consult your pedia about the possible reasons for the child slow development. you can get some help earlier and avoid further trouble.

hey the developmental milestones chart is really helpful. at least my baby is a little on the right track. i just need to help him on some things and continue to support him to learn.
