going to beach is relaxing! swimming and making sand castle is fun.

The beach is one most common destination for good family bonding. Make sure to put on sun block or any protection from the sun.

Going to the beach is one activity that never gets old. Make sure also that you're in full watch your children while on the beach, for safety reason.

Don't forget to put on sunblock or any protection against the sun. Bring first aid kit too. Eyes on your kids as well!

Perfectly fine to bring a baby to the beach. Just don't expose him to too much sunlight. In fact, don't go carrying the baby under the sun. 5 months is still too young for the baby. He won't be able to regulate his body temperature very well until he is older than 6 months.

Now I'm assuming you are not at the top half of the world because right now it is still damn cold. Exposing your baby for long hours to a very cold climate, even if he is well insulated, is a bad idea.

I had a friend whose baby is allergic to sea breeze, so I would say check with your pediatrician, no harm on being safe. enjoy the beach!!
