I'm going to send my little girl to daycare probably in 2 months time. but I have a BIG problem... She has (i guess) an extreme case of separation anxiety... it's driving me up the wall.. can anyone please help me... :(

your kid needs to learn to detach herself, just assure her that you will comeback, also what helps is that you stay a while outside the gate or the room andmake sure she sees you, after she gets familiar with the sorroundings then you can leave.

talk to your kid, let her know beforehand as to what the new arrangement would be so you can set proper expectations. Listen to what your kid has to say and answer whatever questions she might have in mind. Just make sure you explain to her that the separation is temporary and that you'll be coming back. Try to make it a point that you arrive at the place to pick up your child earlier than the expected time so she does not have to wait (she might grow anxious waiting).
