i want to renovate my baby's room coz he is no longer a baby. what type of bed should I get a 2 1/2 year old daughter? Is it OK to have a full sized bed already?

Allyson - December 11th, 2010 4:46 AM

i think your baby is better in a daybed than a full sized one.

JaneDoe - December 12th, 2010 2:52 AM

I agree. a daybed is better since it keeps your baby from falling off.

i think a toddler bed is more suitable because it has some rails to keep them from falling off. but if she is not a messy sleeper then I think a full bed will do.

My daugher's crib converts to a daybed. It is very convenient and at least you wont need to buy a real bed for quite some time.

i bought a full sized bed but with optional rails that can be removed later. try and see if you can find a bed like this.

Tameeka's suggestion sounds practical!

how about putting up some rails on a full bed? if your hubby is a handyman then this should be easy for him to do.

age appropriate beds are better than full sized ones incase of accidents. she might fall off while sleeping. :(

go with the safe one and go with a toddler bed with rails.

i agree with desiree. but if you're looking to save some money, why not try to find a big bed and then if you're handy with a hammer and saw put in some barriers that you can take down when she grows up.
