i haven't discuss or mention anything about circumcision with my son. it is surgical! and i know my child will be in pain before and after the procedure. i also heard from a neighbor that her son had circumcision when he was born. it shocked me knowing that it can be done. i'm still thinking whether to wait a bit longer or before he enter high school to have him circumcised..

as a parent, you should mention, discuss and explain what circumcision is all about. tell him about the pain that he will experience when he gets circumcised. he might over heard it from his friends or other people who will tell him false information.

I have 2 boys and I already experienced the circumcision process on my first son. It was quick! Pain is their but my son was too brave not to shed any tear. I'm glad that my eldest is making sure that his younger brother will do the same.

I have 2 girls right now and planning to get pregnant again. Hoping for a boy! I'll take note of circumcision.

Tonitte,

we are in the same boat. been praying to have a son soon...i love my girls but i also want to have a boy. (: it would be a fun-filled experience carrying my son to the doctor and have him circumcised. (:

For some families, the choice is simple because it's based on cultural or religious beliefs. But for others, the right option isn't as clear. Before you make a circumcision decision, it's important to talk to your doctor and consider some of the issues.

i think its a good way to cut or circumcise just to prevent germs attack.

Not all parents choose to have their children circumcised, which is why the CDC's announcement caused such a stir. Officials are considering promoting the procedure in the U.S., according to The New York Times, because it may help reduce the spread of H.I.V., the virus that causes AIDS.

parents will have introduction to their child about circumcision. it is normal that they will tell you that they feel fear not about the process but with the pain after.
