at around what age is good for introducing sports to school age kids?

LiSa - December 10th, 2010 4:13 AM

any age! my husband who is an avid swimmer takes the kids swimming even when they were babies!

i agree! kids can experiment with sports through play. My son already has a small collection of balls from just about every sport with balls!

KathyV - December 12th, 2010 3:18 AM

any age! kids can view sports as play so teaching them the basics should be fine any age.

mommad - December 13th, 2010 4:11 AM

the earlier you can teach them the better! my son has been playing catch with his dad for the last 3 years and he is now 6! it is good exercise!

i agree. most kids see sport as playing anyway so whatever age they are, they will have a good time.

i started my daughter on teakwondo at around 5. it is a healthy sport and she gets exercise that way. plus she is making lots of friends.

thanks! was thinking of letting my 4 yo daughter go with my son to taekwondo! hahahah!

i think any age will do! sports is fun and kids should have fun while exercising or doing sports!

we teach our kids to swim early. this is for their safety as we have a pool at home.

TWINKLE - December 25th, 2010 2:23 AM

any age! young kids are always eager and interested to learn new things.
